bangvwm is a Virtual Desktop Manager module (also commonly known as a pager or virtual window manager). It creates hidden virtual desktops that can be activated by using !bang commands. An example of its use would be to keep all of your internet application windows opened on one virtual desktop, and all of your work programs opened on another desktop. Then, using hotkeys or shortcuts bound to bangvwm's !bang commands, quickly toggle between those virtual desktops. Thus opening up your desktop real estate, removing the overcrowding typical to our multitasking workday.
